About CDW

Country Dancers of Westchester (CDW) is an associate member group of the Country Dance and Song Society (CDSS).  CDW is an open group that gathers on Thursday nights generally (and occasional weekends – see dance schedule) to continue the long tradition and current celebration of English Country Dance!

We welcome any one with an interest in dancing – experienced and non-experienced alike of all ages – whether to join as an official member or simply to join us for an occasional evening’s fun and activity.  We feature live music, willing partners, and a walk-through of each dance is led at its start by an experienced English country dance teacher!

And, if you are new to English Country Dance and want to find out more details about it, please visit our “New to English Country Dance?” page (click here) for more information.

CDW holds most of its dances at the Church of the Highlands, 35 Bryant Avenue (Bryant and Grandview), White Plains, NY.  Here is a link to a map where you may get directions from your location.

We look forward to welcoming you to an evening of music, dance, community — and hopefully many return visits!
